Desloge, Missouri, is a small town located about 75 miles south of the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Desloge was founded by Firmin V. Desloge, son of a French immigrant who learned mining from his father. His knowledge of mining led to building a plant, later consolidated several local mining companies that became known as the Desloge Consolidated Lead Company.
